Spencer Peterman crafts each serving board from a piece of fallen maple wood in Western Massachusetts. Each piece is unique in its level of spalting—the term used to describe the wood's natural stage of decay. The wood is then cleaned, dried, and treated with beeswax and mineral oils.

Color, shape, and precise size will vary.

Spencer Peterman is always on the lookout for fallen trees. Based in Massachusetts, Peterman transforms salvaged wood into functional, one-of-a-kind pieces that showcase their distinctive patterns.

Hand wash with mild soap and towel dry.
Apply mineral oil once a month.
